At St Benedict's Latin Mass Chapel Meadowbrook Brisbane, we believe that the chair of St. Peter is vacant "Sede Vacante" since the death of Pope Pius XII. We believe that the "Councilor Popes" have fallen into Heresy and have broken with the Teachings of the Church. Any cleric who is to hold an office in the Church needs to maintain the traditional teachings of the Catholic Church.

Pope Paul IV in his Apostolic Constitution,"Cum Ex Apostolic Officio" (February 15, 1559) makes it clear that any cleric including a Cardinal or a Pope who falls into heresy he automatically loses their office.  This applies also to "Pope" Paul VI and to all the Bishops, Cardinals and Priests at the Second Vatican Council.

The Second Vatican Council was a departure from the faith and teachings of the Church and is more of a "Robbers Council" then a "True Council" of the Church. The Decree on Ecumenism was a departure from the Catholic Church's teaching on salvation. The Catholic Church states that there is: "No salvation outside the Catholic Church." The Second Vatican Council states that a person outside of the Church is in partial communion with Church, and has the possibility of Salvation. It also describes heretics and schismatics as our "brothers and sisters in Christ" which is impossible for a person outside of the Catholic church.

On the "Degree on Ecumenism" (chapter 1, para 3) we read: "Those who are born into these communities and are brought up in the faith of Christ cannot be accused of the sin involved in the separation, and the Catholic church looks upon them as sisters and brothers, with respect and love. For those who believe in Christ and have truly been baptised are in some kind of communion with the Church, even though this communion is imperfect."

Council of Florence, Cantate Domino (1441):

"The Holy Roman Church firmly believes professes and preachers that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church not only pagans but also Jews and heretics and schismatics can have a share in life eternal; but they will go into eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41); unless before death they are joined with her; and that so important is the unity of the visible Church and ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, alms giving, and there works of Christian piety and there duties of a Christian soldiers. No one, lets his alms giving be as great as it may, no one, even if he poured out his blood for the name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remains within the bosom and unity of the Catholic Church."

Pope Leo Xii (Ubi Primum #14, May 5, 1824):

"It is impossible for the most true God, who is Truth itself, the best, the wisest Provider, and the Rewarder of Good men, to approve all sects who profess false teachings which are often inconsistent with one another and contradictory, and to confess eternal reward on their members ... by divine faith we hold one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and that no other name under heaven is given to men except the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth in which we must be saved.  This is why we profess that there is no salvation outside the church."

We therefore believe that the Chair of Peter is Vacant "Sede Vacante" and we do not have a Pope since the death of Pope Pius XII.

When Caiaphas stood up and condemned Our Lord to death on the charge of blasphemy, he immediately lost the Chair of Moses (Matthew 25: 57-68).  He was no longer a High Priest. So also when "Pope" Paul VI stood up to sign the Vatican Documents, he to, and all the Council Fathers, automatically fell into heresy and therefore lost their "office".

In the History of the Church we also have had occasions were the Church has departed from the true and fell into heresy.  This happened at the Council of Ariminum 359ad. Nearly all the Council Fathers fell into the Arian heresy. The Arian heresy believed that Our Lord was similar in substance to the Father, but not the same substance as the Father i.e. he was a created being. The church taught at the Council of Nicaea that Our Lord was of the same substance as the father.

As the Bishops at the Council of Ariminum fell into heresy, so to Bishops who signed the "Second Vatican Council" documents all fell into heresy and lost their office as Bishops of the Church.

And so at St Benedict's Latin Mass Chapel Meadowbrook Brisbane, we believe that the Chair of Peter is Currently Vacant "Sede Vacante".
